Friends of Desert Wildlife Refuges and the Nevada State Museum invite you to a special evening of education and entertainment on Thursday, October 24th from 6pm-8pm at the Nevada State Museum at the Springs Preserve, 309 S. Valley View, Las Vegas, NV 89107. Engaging wildlife biologist, David Choate, will present: "Life on the Edge, the tough life of cougars around Las Vegas". In addition, we will be unveiling our "New Look", recognizing our photo contest winner, and more . . . Appetizers and refreshments will be provided. Meetings

Monthly Board meetings of the Friends group are open to all members. The meetings takes place at 6:30pm the first Tuesday of the month (unless otherwise noted.) Currently, meetings are held at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE) at 8050 Paradise Road, in Las Vegas, NV. A conference call phone line and a link to the document package is available to members who are not able to physically attend. For more information contact harry_konwin@fws.gov 702-515-5494. We'd like to thank the Red Rocks Canyon Interpretive Association (RRCIA) for hosting our past meetings.
